New UI issue - Cannot select where a lesson goes in a course when adding a lesson to an existing course

When adding a lesson the New UI does not allow to select where it goes after it is added.

Note 1
I already know once the lesson is added, you then take the additional step of clicking edit, then you can change the position

Note 2
That also means this is an additional step in the process compared to the regular UI

The first image is the new UI
No ability to select where it goes

The ability to choose where it goes
