Product Updates - Week of January 5, 2026
New features added this week
- CYPHER Agent tools permissions grid
- The platform now allows super administrators to control access to CYPHER Agent tools by role for both the default organization and sub-organizations. A new AI section has been added to the permission grids that allow the CYPHER Agent Course create, Skills create, and Learn tool to be enabled or disabled by role. This flexibility helps you manage feature rollouts more effectively, ensure role-appropriate access, and deliver a more intentional user experience for learners and instructors.

- Create time limits for purchased courses
- Platforms with e-commerce enabled can now set a time limit for course access after purchase. Instructors and administrators can define this duration on the course Admin > E- commerce page using the new Purchase Length section. When a purchase length is specified, user access to the course automatically expires when the defined period of time has passed after course purchase. The purchase length is also displayed on the course tile in the catalog, helping users understand how long they will have access to the course.
- Coursera auto login
- By leveraging the new SAML 2.0 Identity Provider (IdP) capability, the platform now supports automatic login to Coursera courses. By setting up your platform as an SSO provider with Coursera, users can access courses in the Coursera catalog seamlessly, without requiring additional log-in or authentication steps.
