It would be good to be able to add links / variable to items in the to do list displayed on dashboards so for items such as "Complete Course XXX" learners can click there and access the course straight away from the to do list.

This is possible for other items such as alerts, see below:

I understand the variables only currently work from the subject / content area of messages.
