New features added this week

1. Waitlist enrollment request update:
   
1. The process for managing enrollment requests for courses with active waitlists has been updated. In addition to receiving a notification, course owners will now see enrollment requests added directly to their To-do widget on the home dashboard. Selecting an enrollment request from the To-do widget directs course owners to the new Approval requests page, where they can approve or reject all pending requests.

Behind the scenes

1. Notifications widget: We have simplified how you manage requests. The Notifications widget in the right panel has been retired, and requests such as friend requests and group membership requests now appear in the To-do widget in the right panel. This update streamlines request management and makes it easier to find and act on requests within the existing To-do widget.
   
2. Calendar invites: Improvements have been made to calendar email invitation functionality for users who select Send calendar invites via email when creating calendar events and course sessions. When an event or session is rescheduled or canceled, a corresponding email is now sent to update or cancel the original calendar invitation. Calendar invitations also now include information from the Description field, allowing instructors and administrators to add web meeting links that will be included in the calendar email.
