LABELLING AND DOWNLOADING OF MATERIALS/REFERENCES/QUIZZES ETC.
Dear Mesdames, Greetings! I am Ellaine T Cruz, a new lecturer (GE - Social Science) from STI - Sta. Mesa and has concerns with the subject stated above. Since I am new I have trouble maximizing the features of ELMS such as:
- Knowing which of the files are for presentation purposes, for reference of a certain activity, a rubrics/criteria for a certain activity...I suggest that it should be categorized and with sub-categories and shall be labeled according to its purpose (ex. Criteria for Activity 1, Prelim Review, Rubrics for Task Performance etc) in able to make it easier to understand and to utilize or a MODULAR type approach like the picture below. Also for Readings in the Philippine History, multiple files are REUPLOADED/DUPLICATED
Sa
2. Downloading files lead to multiple TABS and has to be click four (4) times and HTML type PRESENTATIONS will be unlikely to use since it needs a WIFI connection, although HTML presentations are quite presentable due to notes and voiceover, if I may suggest that a MP4 (video type presentation) Version of HTML Presentation must also be provided.
These are my observations/experience using ELMS, and yes the system is quite overwhelming and in need of exploration/mastery to maximize its features but making it more User Friendly will lead to more engagement of Teachers/Students using ELMS and will be really handful especially on Distant Learning (incase of suspension of classes due to natural/biological calamities etc).
