We created a tag group to standardize tagging of our courses with their associated leadership competencies.

When creating a tag group for courses, only one tag from the group can be selected at a time. Because a course may address more than one competency, the ability to multi-select from that list in the course admin menu is crucial. 

We rely on these tags to associate the overall course with the competencies, as mastery skills can't be applied that broadly. The ability to associate an entire course with a mastery skill would also solve this for us, but they can only currently be associated with modules/sections/assessments.
