Typically we have a roster of students and their info for faculty in each course we have. We also usually have a student notes section where things that need to be communicated to the faculty about specific students can be put there, hidden from students. For example, is admissions learns that the student's mother just passed away, when enrolled in the LMS, that note should be made and the faculty should be able to know that. Or is a student has a learning disability, or tends to be a very big personality in the classroom that might need extra management to keep in check.
