We have recently discovered that one a user is added to the waitlist, they can't be removed without rejecting them. And this also sends the user a notification. There is no option to turn off this notification, unlike all other functions such as enrollment, completion, reenrollment, deactivation, grading etc. Please can this be added.
In principle, I understand. However, at the moment, there is only an option to turn off these notifications at an individual level, rather than at a course level.
We ran a few courses with waitlisting that ended up not gaining traction with business, but the statuses still remained. 5 years down the line, we want to decommission these courses, and remove the learners. When we rejected the waitlist status, all the staff that were on these courses were alerted, causing unnecessary confusion.
