I would like to propose an enhancement to Cypher LMS, specifically concerning assignment functionality. Currently, when students complete an assignment and answer some questions incorrectly, there is limited structured support for targeted remediation within the same assessment framework. I suggest introducing a feature that enables a controlled second attempt in which each student can view only the questions they answered incorrectly in their initial submission.

Furthermore, the system could allow the marks obtained in the second attempt to be combined with the marks earned in the first attempt to produce a final cumulative score. This approach would promote mastery learning while maintaining assessment integrity. Teachers should also have the option to include rephrased versions of the original questions in the remedial attempt, with the same allocated marks per question. Such a feature would support differentiated learning, encourage improvement, and enhance fairness in assessment practices
