New features added this week

  1. Course enrollment manager approval
    1. When a course is set to automatically place learners on a waitlist, course owners can now choose who approves enrollment requests. Enrollment approvals can be managed by Managers, Instructors, Administrators, or a combination of Managers and Administrators. Approver options include:
      1. If Managers are selected as the approving role, and the Direct reports for managers feature is enabled, enrollment requests are routed directly to the learner’s manager.
      2. If Managers are selected as the approving role, but the Direct reports for managers feature is not enabled, enrollment requests are sent to all managers in the organization.
      3. Course owners can also choose to select Instructors, Administrators, or Managers and Administrators as the approving role(s) for enrollments.
    2. When users join the waitlist for a course:
      1. An enrollment request notification is sent to the designated approvers.
      2. A new item appears on the To-do widget of designated approvers.
    3. This update provides more flexibility and control over how course enrollments are managed, providing your business or school with additional ways to approve or reject enrollment requests.

  1. Web-conferencing configuration by organization: Zoom
    1. Administrators can now configure separate Zoom web conferencing accounts per organization. Customers with the Web conferencing for organizations app can access a new Web conferencing tab at the Organization level. This tab allows an organization to either inherit business-level web conferencing configurations or define organization-specific ZoomAPI configurations. The new feature also allows administrators to cascade web conferencing configuration settings from a parent organization to its sub-organizations.
      1. Note that additional web conferencing tools will be added in the future.

Behind the scenes

  1. GPT upgrades: The course creation system GPT has been updated, improving image and image text generation (when selected). Additionally, Crosscheck has been upgraded to continually improve accuracy.
  2. User profile: Resolved an issue that caused an error when accessing the Skills tab on the user profile.
