Product Updates - Week of June 22nd, 2026

New features added this week

  1. Merge user accounts
    1. To help maintain accurate user records and a cleaner user directory, administrators can now merge user accounts! This is especially useful when duplicate accounts are created from multiple sources, such as manual imports, integrations, or identity provider changes.
    2. The new Merge feature helps reduce administrative effort by allowing multiple accounts to be consolidated into a single user record and preserves learning history by transferring course completions to the retained account.
    3. The Merge button is accessed from User lists and allows administrators to combine duplicate user accounts into a single account.
      1. Administrators begin by selecting the accounts to merge and then choose which account to retain.
      2. During the merge process, course completion history from the duplicate account(s) is transferred to the retained account, and the duplicate account(s) are removed.
      3. Assessment results and other activity data associated with completed courses are also preserved when applicable.
    4. Merge functionality is now available on all CYPHER for business and CYPHER for academia platforms.
    5. To learn more, visit the Merging accounts section of the View and manage user accounts article.
