Our curriculum is fully project-based, and every lesson includes a project component as part of the student’s evaluation and compliance requirements.
Currently, students can mark a lesson or activity as “Completed” without submitting the actual project artifact for teacher review. This creates a challenge because there is no dedicated submission link or upload mechanism associated with the project. As a workaround, we have asked students to save their work as a PDF and attach it within the Comments section. However, once the activity is marked as completed, teachers must manually search through comments across modules and assignments to locate the student’s submission, making the review process inefficient and difficult to manage.
Is there a way to configure project activities so that completion is contingent upon the submission of a required artifact? Ideally, we would like the project to function similarly to an Essay Assignment, where students must upload a file, submit a document, or provide a link before the activity can be marked as complete.
Could this functionality be implemented or programmed within the platform? Alternatively, what would you recommend as the best practice for managing project-based assessments while maintaining a clear workflow for both students and teachers?
We would appreciate any guidance, recommendations, or possible solutions that could streamline the submission and evaluation process.
