Netzun

Overview

Netzun is an online education platform, specializing in micro-learning. The platform has hundreds of online courses and specializations taught by recognized professionals from Latin America.

By integrating Netzun into your platform, you can provide your learners with direct access to Netzun courses through the course catalog.

Please note CYPHER for business utilizes the term course. CYPHER for academia utilizes the term class. The terms course and class are interchangeable in this article. 

Installing the Netzun app

To enable Netzun, you must first install the app on your platform. To install the Netzun app:
  1. Click Admin on the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click App center from the fly-out menu.
  3. Click Install on the Netzun tile in the Third Party content section of the App center.

Enabling Netzun

To integrate Netzun with your platform, you will need a unique Customer ID and secret. Request the ID and secret from your Netzun account contacts.

To configure and enable Netzun:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click Catalog from the fly-out menu.
  3. Click the Configure icon in the settings column for Netzun.

The Netzun Catalog settings display:

  1. Netzun Catalog: Click Edit to update the name of the catalog or to add a catalog introduction.
  2. Pagination: Select how many tiles per page can display in the catalog.
  3. Default course administrator: The Super admin is the default course administrator. Click Change user to update the administrator.
  4. Catalog provider: Click Edit to enter your Client ID and Client secret.

After clicking Edit in the Catalog provider section, a new page displays that allows you to set up your Netzun integration.
  1. Enter your Client ID
  2. Enter your Client secret.
    1. Your ID and secret will be provided by Netzun.
  3. Click Save

After entering your ID and secret, test your connection.
  1. Click the Test connection button in the Catalog provider section to verify your connection.
    1. An API call will be made to Netzun. If a connection is not made successfully, an error message will display.

Enable the Netzun catalog

To enable the Netzun catalog:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click Catalog from the fly-out menu.
  3. Select the Enable? checkbox for your Netzun catalog integration.


Once the catalog is enabled, the Netzun tab will display in the Catalog. To locate the Netzun catalog:
  1. Click Catalog from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click the Netzun tab.

Specializations

Netzun offers Especializaciones, or Specializations, which function in a similar way to Paths. Specializations automatically sync to the course catalog like general courses, and are available in their respective category. After learners enroll in the Specialization, the modules will display.

Manually sync the Netzun catalog

Courses from Netzun automatically sync with your platform.

You can also manually sync the courses at any time. To manually sync Netzun courses with your platform:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click Catalog from the fly-out menu.
  3. Click the Configure icon in the Settings column for Netzun.
  4. Click the Sync Now button.
