Overview
Unicheck, previously called Unplag, is an online plagiarism detection service that compares documents against a live web index. It performs plagiarism checks within seconds and gives a precise real-time result.
Unicheck is a tool that:
- helps to identify parts of the document that contains copied text by using color highlighters.
- can check up to 5 documents at the same time, without any slowdown.
- gives a complete list of links to the sources where it finds duplicated content.
- supports 99% of text formats.
To use our Unicheck integration you must have an Unicheck account.
Configuring Unicheck
To enable Unicheck, go to Admin/App center and install Unicheck.

Then click on Configure to set up your options.

To start configuring your settings, click on the Edit icon.

Enter your Key and Secret.

Then enter your Params.
- If you use auto_grade=0, the submission is recorded on your learningplatform but it isn't graded. The pencil icon will indicate that there is a submission to grade. Teachers can access the submitted file and check the similarity using the Launch button, then they can manually grade the student's submission via the Scores tab on your learning platform. Please note that when the student submits a file, it might take a few seconds until the "+ Submit answer" button disappears. This depends on Unicheck to send us the callback and register it on our side.
- If you use auto_grade=1, the submission is recorded and graded based on the similarity percent. The grade will automatically appear after the submission is made.

Make sure you include buttons for both instructors and learners. If you don't include buttons learners won't be able to upload assessments and instructors won't able to access the assessment uploaded to Unicheck.
