When the learner is viewing all of the catalogs and learning plans in the catalog window, there's no back to catalog button so the learner has to click on "Catalog" in the left pane which increases the amount of clicks to go back just one screen. The same issue is applied when the learner is going through the modules in any learning plan - they have to click "Catalogs" and then follow the same steps to get back to the main catalog page instead of being able to just click a button to go back.
