Summary: Please add the ability to filter reports by a broader course identifier, such as a course code prefix or name keyword, rather than requiring individual LMS IDs for each course.
Current Behavior: When running a report filtered by specific courses, the only available method is to manually input each course's individual LMS ID one by one. The "Courses" dropdown only displays a limited number of results and does not show the full course list, making it difficult to locate and input IDs at scale.
Desired Behavior: Users should be able to filter a report by a course code prefix or keyword — for example, typing "ED101" to capture all courses associated with that code, or filtering across multiple course families (ED101, ED201, ED202) in a single input rather than hunting down dozens of individual LMS IDs.
Use Case / Business Impact: Our organization offers course series under consistent naming conventions (ED101, ED201, ED202, etc.). When we need to run enrollment or student detail reports across an entire series, we currently have to identify and manually enter every individual LMS ID. This is extremely time-consuming and prone to error, especially as the number of course offerings grows.
In practice, this limitation recently required a staff member to pull a full registration export across all courses and manually remove unrelated entries — a process that took a significant amount of time and resources.
Suggested Solution:
Priority: This would be a significant time-saver for organizations that manage large course catalogs with structured naming conventions. We would strongly encourage this be considered for the Q3/2026 roadmap.
