Product Updates - Week of September 15, 2025

New features added this week

  • Two new fields were added to the API v3 Assessment schema: 
    • Category: The category of the assessment (None, Homework, Participation, Quiz, or Test).
    • Creator_id: The LMS ID of the user that created the assessment.

Behind the scenes

  • Calendar invites made easier: Email invite issues for new calendar events have been fixed. Instructors and learners now automatically receive an .ics calendar file when new events are created, as long as the “Send calendar invites via email” option is selected in the Miscellaneous tab.
  • Automation actions restored: Corrected an issue where automation actions weren’t triggered when learners enrolled in a course through their profile page. Now, automation actions are triggered when learners enroll through their profile page as expected.
  • Upgraded backend technology: Enhanced back end infrastructure to improve application performance and responsiveness.
