New features added this week

  1. New Skills tab available on learner profiles
    1. We've added a new Skills tab to learner profiles! This feature provides a clearer view of each learner's skills and mastery, making it easier to identify strengths and areas for improvement. To view the new Skills tab, administrators, instructors, managers, mentors and parents access a learner’s profile and click the Skills tab.

  1. Import all account roles in a single import
    1. Administrators can now import account data for all roles in a single import. With this update, administrators can:
      1. Import all account roles at once.
      2. Use the new Roles value in the import CSV file to identify the role(s) associated with each account.
      3. Select a default role to apply to any account in the import that doesn’t have a defined role.
        1. Note that the default role is set to Learner/Student.

  1. Banner widget updates
    1. A new Slide Name field has been added to the banner widget carousel on the home dashboard. Administrators can now assign a name to each slide in the carousel, making it easier to identify and manage slides when editing the carousel. Additionally, the slide preview now updates in real time as changes are made to the slide, so administrators no longer need to switch back and forth between the editor and home dashboard to view updates.

  1. Updated process to add files to the Agent knowledge base
    1. When instructors and administrators are adding resources, they can now simply select a checkbox to include the file in the Agent Knowledge Base. The new Add to Agent knowledge base checkbox on the Add file pop-up simplifies the Agent knowledge base upload process, reducing clicks and making the process more efficient. In addition, the terminology in the Agent Knowledge Base widget in the right panel of the resource has been updated for clarity: the Sync button has been replaced with Add, and the Re-Sync button has been replaced with Update.

Behind the scenes

  1. Course picture API: The course picture URL field was successfully added to the Get course API 3.0 schema, so customers can now retrieve the course image via API.
  2. Course schedule email issue resolved: Fixed an issue that added an extra day to email calendar invites when users selected the Every day option for a course schedule. The Every weekday option was also updated so email calendar invites reflect the correct course schedule.
  3. Editing multiple assessment due dates: Resolved an issue that prevented users from selecting multiple course assessments to update due dates in bulk. Now, users can select multiple assessments, click Edit, update multiple Due dates, and successfully save the changes.
  4. Public profile update: Public profiles have been updated with the new UI.
  5. Setting profile birthdates: Fixed an issue that allowed users to set their profile birthdate in the future.
  6. Mobile calendar: Resolved an issue that prevented users on iOS devices from accessing the group calendar.
  7. Calendar view on public facing course catalog page: Fixed an issue that prevented visitors from accessing the Calendar view on public facing course catalog pages.
