Product Updates - Week of August 31st, 2026

New features added this week

  1. Conditional filters
    1. Filters are getting a major update! Conditional filters can now be used across all Users lists, for automatic group membership, and to control the visibility of courses, modules, paths, carousel slides, and more.
    2. Conditional filters are more powerful than standard filters because they allow users to combine filter conditions using two operators:
      1. And operator: The user must meet the criteria for all conditions within the group.
      2. Or operator: The user can meet the criteria for any one of the groups of conditions.
    3. By combining And and Or operators, users can create more flexible and precise filters. Use And conditions to define a specific set of requirements, then add additional sets of requirements using Or operators.
    4. The new conditional filter pop-up allows users to create filters with up to three conditional filter stacks using Or operators.
    5. Conditional filters are available when creating filters for:
      1. All Users lists
      2. Automatic group membership
      3. All Visibility filters

  1. Course and module tile image regeneration with CYPHER Agent
    1. When designing a course, finding quality images for course and module tiles can be challenging and time-consuming. Now, CYPHER Agent can simplify the process by helping course creators find or generate tile images, no matter how the course was created.
    2. To regenerate a tile image, course creators simply hover over the image, click the cog icon, and click Create. Course creators can then choose between two options:
      1. The AI tab allows course creators to describe the image they want and generate a custom image using AI.
        1. The number of credits required to generate the image displays below the image, with square images averaging 17 credits.
      2. The Web tab allows course creators to search and select images from Google.
        1. No credits are used when selecting images from Google.
    3. Both options allow course creators to select an image and preview how it will look on the page before applying it. Once satisfied with the new image, they can simply click Save.
    4. Tile image generation is available for both new and existing courses, making it easy for course creators to refresh individual courses or bring new life to their existing course catalog.
    5. Additionally, the course Admin > Basics tab was also updated with a new Picture section, allowing course creators to update the course image when configuring their course.
    6. The new Create button is available for course and module tile images for all platforms with CYPHER Agent enabled.

  1. Expanded webhook functionality
    1. Webhook actions have been enhanced to provide greater flexibility when connecting CYPHER Learning with APIs and external systems. Previously, webhook actions used a single HTTP method and supported limited request configuration. With this update, administrators can now select the HTTP Method and Content type used for each webhook request.
    2. The Webhook pop-up includes two new options:
      1. Method: Webhook actions now support POST, GET, PATCH, and DELETE methods, allowing requests to create, read, update, or delete data based on the capabilities of the receiving API.
      2. Content type: Administrators can also select from application/json, application/xml, and application/x-www-form-urlencoded content types to meet the requirements of different API endpoints.
    3. Additionally, webhook actions can now send requests to CYPHER Learning APIs, opening up new opportunities to automate actions within the platform when specific events occur.
    4. The updated webhook functionality is available for all platforms with the Webhooks app installed.
