Overview
Many actions such as enrollment, unenrollment, and deactivation have associated messages that are sent to the parties involved. The content of these "canned messages" can be customized via Admin/Messages.

To change the canned message associated with a particular action, select it and click its Edit option.

Enter the new subject and content, then click Save.

Once it has been changed, you can always revert back to the default setting by clicking its Reset option.

Each action has variables associated with it that can be inserted into the canned message using the "@" syntax. For example, the "enrollment" action supports the @course_name variable, which is automatically replaced by the name of the course in the message subject and content.

Please note that variables with links are not supported in the subject of messages only in the body of messages.
