Scores are a convenient way to see all the scores of all the learners in your course. It also provides access to statistics such as the number of excused and past due assessments, the min/max/average scores, and a graph of the results. To see the scores achieved in the course, click Scores from the left bar.
You can also access the scores of a course from the Teaching dashboard by clicking the scores icon on the course tile.
Depending on how many learners and assessments there are, scroll bars will appear that let you scroll through the scores.

Each assessment is listed at the top of the table, with an icon to indicate its type, a link to the assessment, and the number of points associated with the assessment.
The Grade Release row indicates when each assessment score is designated to be released. For any assessments marked as Manual, click Manual in the Grade Release row.
A pop appears, confirming to “release all grades now”. Click OK.
To edit a table cell, click on it and then enter the number of points, a percentage (a number followed by %), a letter score, "X" for excused, “M” for missing, “AB” for absent, or "I" for incomplete. An incomplete counts 0 towards the final score, and indicates that a learner submitted incomplete work that is not worthy of a score, but still might be awarded a score if they complete the submission. The learner is automatically sent a message that their assessment has been graded.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts on the score grid, by entering the following symbols:

Besides letter scores and keyboard shortcuts, you can also double-click on the "Mark with an exception" flag in a score grid cell.
Then select the exception from the drop-down.
To clear an exception, click on it and select Clear from the drop-down.

Note that these symbols are also available in the condensed version of the score grid.
To add a comment double click on a cell. Enter the comment then click Post.
You can post multiple comments to each cell. After the comment is posted you can edit it or delete it.
Score grid cells that have comments are indicated with the icon.
To add a fill score for an assessment click on the icon and select Fill.
Enter the fill score, then click Save.
You can use TAB to move right, SHIFT-TAB to move left, and Enter to move down. The current value of the cell is saved before the movement occurs. To deselect a cell without saving its current value use Esc or click outside the grid of cells.
To undo the changes made to the scores, click the icon in the upper-right corner.
To view the scores in full-screen mode click on the icon from the top right.
To exit full-screen mode click on the icon from the top right.
To access the learner's submission directly from Scores, hover over the cell and click the icon.
You can also grade assessments using rubrics directly from the scores grid. If an assessment has an associated rubric, when you hover over its cell, you will see a small rubric icon.
Click on the icon and a pop-up with the rubric for the assessment will open. Here you can grade the submission and add comments, then click Save.
To configure the settings for the score grid display, click on the Configure icon from the top right.
You can then select what combination of points, percent, and score you want to be displayed in each cell. You can select if you want to display category, display M, I, AB, and X count, if you want to disable alert when entered score exceeds the maximum and more.
You can customize the column width and the width of the learner column in case you have learners with long names and you can enable an option that displays the learner ID under the learner's name.
You can also use the option "Enable grade map dropdown" and this allows you to have a dropdown to choose a grade if you are using a grading scale with assessments.
To export the scores click the icon from the top right and select the type of format that you want the export file to be.
If you choose to export to a CSV file, select the fields to export and press Export. This creates a comma-separated-value (CSV) file that you can save for import into other systems.
To import scores for an assessment click its icon from the header and select Import.
Select the import format and the file, then click Save.
The imported scores will be displayed in the assessments column.
You can manually override a learner's final score. To use this feature first enable the "Allow final grade to be overridden?" option in the course's Admin/Assessments area.
When enabled, you can click the "Overall" score cell in the score grid and enter an override value.
Note that you can override the final score only in the cells that show the final percentage. In order to be able to override the final score, click Configure and set the "Left value in summary" or/and the "Right value in summary" to Percent.
The overridden score is indicated by a highlight in the score grid. Note that the overridden value applies in all places that display a final score, including learner transcripts and the learner's view of the assessment scores.
Double-click the cell to add an optional comment or clear the override.

To filter the score grid by category, select the category from the top of the table.
To filter by modules, select the module from the All modules dropdown.
To see overall statistics for all the assessments, click on the icon from the top right.
A pop-up will open which displays a graphical representation of the progress on all the assessments.
To see analytics for one assessment click on its icon and select Analytics.
A pop-up will open with the score distribution.
To see analytics for a learner click on beside its name and select Analytics.
A pop-up will open with the score distribution.
