Equella

Equella

Overview

Equella is a popular content repository from Pearson. The integration with Equella works just like our GDrive integration except that browsing can be done via a popup LTI window.

Configuring Equella

To set up Equella, first go to Admin/App center and install the Equella app.

Then click on Configure to start setting up your options.

Enter your information for LTI access and API access in the Configure tab, then click Save. Please note that all fields must be filled in. Also if you have enabled SSL on your portal from Admin/Portal the Equella launch URL must use "https". If you don't use SSL on your portal, the Equella launch URL can use "http".

You can get your LTI credentials by visiting the Settings/ LTI consumers area in Equella. If you don't have an LTI consumer set up already you will need to create a new one.

When creating an LTI consumer make sure to select "Create local user and add them to the following groups" from the Unknown user handling section.

The Consumer key and consumer secret are automatically generated.

You can find your API credentials in the Settings/OAuth area.

Make sure to select "Client credentials grant" in the OAuth flow section. Also make sure you have selected the right user in the Fixed user section.

When the integration with Equella is configured you can start adding resources. To add an Equella resource, visit the Resources tab, then click Add. You will see the Equella option in the resources list.
