Overview
The platform allows you to easily export CSV files for accounts, courses, groups, and more!
When exporting data, keep in mind that several terms vary based on platform, and are interchangeable in this article.

Exporting accounts
As an administrator, you can export account information into a comma-separated value (CSV) file. 
To export account information:
- Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
 
- Click Export from the fly-out menu.
 
- Click the Accounts tab. 
 
The fields that can be exported for accounts display.
- In the Values section, select a column number for each field/value you want to include in the export.
 
- For example, if you select 2 in the Column drop-down for the Roles value, the Role(s) for each user will be displayed in the second column of the export.
 
- Select a predefined filter, or create a new filter, to filter which accounts are included in the export.
 
- Select a Format for the export.
 
- Select between UTF-8 and UTF-16LE
 
- Click Export.
 
- You will receive a notification when the export has completed.
 
- Access the notification, and click the link in the notification to download the CSV file.
Note that after clicking Export, the column and value mappings are persistent, and will be remembered the next time you access the Export Accounts page. This helps you save time if you frequently export CSV files with the same field structure.
Courses
You can quickly export course information to a CSV file. 
Note that this does not export course content. If you would like to export course content, visit the 
Export courses article to learn more about exporting content using Common Cartridge Format (CCF). 
To export course information to a CSV file:  
- Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
 
- Click Export from the fly-out menu.
 
- Click the Courses tab. 
 
- In the Values section, select a column number for each field/value you want to include in the export.
 
- For example, if you select 1 in the Column drop-down for the LMS ID value, the LMS ID of each course will be displayed in the first column of the export.
 
- Select a predefined filter, or create a new filter, to filter which courses are included in the export.
 
- Select a Format for the export.
 
- Select between UTF-8 and UTF-16LE
 
- Click Export.
 
- You will receive a notification when the export has completed.
 
- Access the notification, and click the link in the notification to download the CSV file.

To export group information to a CSV file:

- Select a Format for the export.
 
- Select between UTF-8 and UTF-16LE
 
- Click Export.
 
- You will receive a notification when the export has completed.

Job titles
To export job title information to a CSV file:  
- Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
 
- Click Export from the fly-out menu.
 
- Click the Job titles tab. 
 
- In the Values section, select a column number for each field/value you want to include in the export.
 
- For example, if you select 1 in the Column drop-down for the Name value, the Name of each job title will be displayed in the first column of the export.
 
- Select a predefined filter, or create a new filter, to filter which job titles are included in the export.
 
- Select a Format for the export.
 
- Select between UTF-8 and UTF-16LE
 
- Click Export.
 
- You will receive a notification when the export has completed.
 
- Access the notification, and click the link in the notification to download the CSV file.
Note that after clicking Export, the column and value mappings are persistent, and will be remembered the next time you access the Export Job titles page. This helps you save time if you frequently export CSV files with the same field structure.
Export filter
Filters can be used to filter information when exporting accounts, courses, groups, and job titles. This feature lets you focus on specific data, ensuring your export includes only relevant information. For example, you can create a filter that targets students in a particular course or organization for your export.
The filter section is available in each export tab. To add a filter:
- Click the first drop-down menu to choose a filtering attribute. The list of available items is specific for each export type.
 
- If you have predefined filters, you must click the Add  icon to add a new filter. icon to add a new filter.
- Click the second drop-down menu to select a condition.
 
- Filters can have different conditions, such as contains, equals, and in.
 
- In the text box, enter the filtering term. 
 
You can refine your search by adding multiple filters: 
- To add another filter, click the Add  icon. icon.
 
- To cancel a filter click the Remove X icon. 
 
- Click the Save  icon to save your filters for future use. icon to save your filters for future use.
 
If you have previously saved filters, they are available in the predefined filter drop-down menu. To select a predefined filter:
- Click the Select a predefined filter... drop-down menu.
