Managing CYPHER Agent for learners

Overview

CYPHER Agent takes the learning process to the next level. Learners simply access CYPHER Agent, type in what they would like to learn, and let CYPHER Agent handle the rest. 

As an administrator, you have the ability to install, enable, and set guardrails for the CYPHER Agent for learners tool.

Installing CYPHER Agent

To install CYPHER Agent, administrators:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click App Center from the fly-out menu.
  3. Click Install on the AI 360 app in the Bundles section of the App center.

Enabling CYPHER Agent for learners

As an administrator, you have the ability to enable CYPHER Agent by account type. To enable CYPHER Agent for learners for each primary account type:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click CYPHER Agent on the fly-out menu.
  3. Click the Features tab.
  4. Click the corresponding checkbox(es) to enable the learning tool for administrators, instructors, and/or learners.
    1. Once the tool is enabled, impacted users will have access to the CYPHER Agent button and Learn option.

Managing Credits

Every interaction with CYPHER Agent for learners uses a small number of credits. The table below displays a summary of typical credit usage in the Learning tool:

To view available CYPHER Agent credits:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click CYPHER Agent on the fly-out menu.
The Summary tab displays a high level overview of credits in the Credits table:
  1. Purchased: The total number of purchased credits.
    1. Note that additional purchase details display in the Purchases table.
  2. Expired: The total number of expired credits. Unused credits expire after one year.
  3. Available: The total number of available credits that have not been used.

If you would like to purchase additional credits, contact your CSM.

Managing quotas

To make CYPHER Agent credits available to administrators, instructors, and/or learners:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click CYPHER Agent on the fly-out menu.
  3. Click the Quotas tab.
    1. The maximum number of credits per user per account type display. By default, instructors and learners will be allocated 1000 credits to use with CYPHER Agent.
  4. Click Edit to edit the quota amount.

  1. Adjust the maximum credits available to each account type based on your organization's learning strategy.
  2. Click Save.

The platform also allows you to set custom quotas for individual users.
  1. Click + Add in the Custom quotas section.
  2. Add the user's name and set the max number of credits.
  3. Click Save.
  4. The user will display in the Custom quotas table, with additional credit details such as their max credits, credits used, and credits left.
    1. Click Edit to edit their custom quota amount.
    2. Click Clear to remove their custom quota.

CYPHER Agent for learners guardrails

As an administrator, you have the ability to add guardrails to the content delivered by CYPHER Agent. A guardrail is a clear instruction or constraint that will help guide CYPHER Agent's responses so the information provided is appropriate and within the scope of your organization. To add a guardrail to CYPHER Agent for learners:
  1. Click Admin from the primary navigation menu.
  2. Click CYPHER Agent on the fly-out menu.
  3. Click the Features tab.
  4. Click Edit in the Guardrails section.

The Edit pop-up displays. Note that a default prompt is already added that excludes content of an inappropriate nature.
  1. Type in any additional guardrail prompts.
    1. For example: Requests must be related to a user's job title or it should be considered inappropriate because it is unrelated to the workplace and the user's responsibilities at work.
  2. Click Save.
  3. The new guardrails are in place.
