Google assignment

Overview

Google Assignments is an add-on application that integrates with Google Workspace for Education to help educators distribute, analyze and grade student work.

The Google Assignments feature requires schools to be using Google for education and all the instructors/learners to have their email addresses set to their Google email accounts.

Configuring Google Assignments

Administrators can enable Google Assignments via Admin/App center by installing the Google Assignments app.

Note that CYPHER for business users will find the application labeled as Google assessments.

After installing the app, click on Configure to set up your options.

To start configuring your settings, click on the Edit icon.

Enter your Key and Secret then click Save.

Adding Google Assignments

To start adding Google Assignments, go to the course, visit the Assessments tab, then click Add.

Select Google Assignments from the available options.

Enter the name of the assessment and configure its details, then click Save.

To submit a Google Assignment visit the course, go to Assessments, and click the assessment.

Then click on the "Open assignment" button.

You will be redirected to the Google Assignments site where you can submit your answer.

After you submitted an answer, it will be indicated in your account.

After the instructor enters the score for your submission, the score will be visible in the right bar of the assessment.

Instructor view

Instructors can visualize the Google Assignments submitted by learners. To see the submission, go to the course, visit the Assessments tab, and select the Google Assignment.

Then click on the submission you want to see.

You will be redirected to the Google Assignments site where you can enter the score then click Return.

The score will be returned to your learning platform and the assessment will be indicated as graded.
